Guardian Mortgage Company Inc. is joining with the Texas Mortgage Bankers Political Action Committee to keep the Texas mortgage industry thriving

PLANO, TX, USA, July 29, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- With new regulations and a new generation of homebuyers coming into the marketplace, the mortgage industry is changing quickly. For this reason, Guardian Mortgage Company Inc. is joining with the Texas Mortgage Bankers Political Action Committee to keep the Texas mortgage industry thriving.

From July 15 to 19, 2013, Guardian Mortgage participated in TMB PAC’s Education Week, titled “The Race Is On.” This was a joint effort between the Dallas-area mortgage lender and TMB PAC, which represents Texas mortgage lenders at the state and federal level. The weeklong event was focused on informing Guardian Mortgage employees about the important work of TMB PAC and offer support through fundraising.

Serious Goal, Fun Style:
While the goal is serious, the methods are fun. Guardian Mortgage employees are participating in a “Cutest Pet Contest.” They are being asked to vote for the company’s cutest pet by dropping spare change in a bowl adorned with each pet’s picture. The contributed change goes to the PAC, and the winner receives a bag of pet treats. Employees also can make contributions in exchange for breakfast, casual dress and massages. The contributions are voluntary. The goals are $1,000 raised and 100 percent participation.

The fun approach does not detract from the serious purpose. With a series of new federal regulations falling in place on the industry in 2013, TMB PAC can help political representatives navigate the challenges facing the industry. The funds can support candidates who can create an environment in which TMB PAC members can protect and provide quality mortgage lending to future homeowners.
