ABA Section of Taxation Small Exempt Organization Pro Bono Workshop

Members of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation will provide pro bono tax and legal consulting and guidance to small exempt organizations in Central Florida at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, 14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, Orlando, Fla. This workshop is open to any type of small exempt organization located in the central Florida area.

The Small Exempt Organization Pro Bono Workshop will only address federal tax/legal issues, not Florida state issues. The workshop will run from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., and participants must register in advance (space is limited). The volunteering attorneys will be experienced with federal exempt organization issues, including the obtaining and maintaining of tax exemption, annual federal compliance issues, Form 990, unrelated business income issues, governance, compensation, conducting of special events and public support issues. Workshop sessions are anticipated to run 30 minutes.
