Local pharmacy toasts to long serving colleague’s retirement
/EINPresswire.com/ UK (submitpressrelease123.com - press release) Technician Sue Jenkins from Stourport has retired after an impressive and successful career spanning 27 years at a local pharmacy.
Sue was bid a fond farewell by colleagues, who consider her to be one of the family, at The Midcounties Co-operative Pharmacy in Lombard Street where she has worked throughout her career with the pharmacy.
Since joining the pharmacy in 1986, Sue spoke of the many changes she has witnessed, noting that it has become a lot busier over the years and day-to-day staff roles have had to change with the increase of services offered.
She said: “Local customers are always surprised by the amount of different things we can help them with.
“I have been very lucky to work with such great people over the years, both colleagues and customers, and I am sure I will miss their company.
“Whilst I enjoyed my time with Midcounties, I am looking forward to going on holiday and spending more time with my six grandchildren.”
Alexandra Atkins, Team Leader and Technician, said: “We will miss Sue because she is such a valued member of our team. We have all worked together for so long, she is like one of the family, and we wish her all the best.
“Her retirement has been a great time for us to reflect on our service years, which demonstrates what a great place this is to work.”
Sue was presented with a bouquet of flowers from her team (which can be seen in the inset photo) to thank her for her many years of hard work for the company in dispensing cheap toiletries and heartburn tablets. The team members at the Lombard Street pharmacy have now collectively reached a staggering 130 years of service between them.
