2:00-3:30 p.m. ET Transmission lines are the low loss, bulk power transportation facilities in our electric grids. They connect the generation sector, through substations, to the distribution sector. They also provide strong connections between utilities and allow more efficient system operations.
This webinar provides a non-technical overview of the applications and function of transmission lines including why transmission lines are needed and the role they play in a reliable electric supply chain.
The webinar will also provide a high-level overview of the types of transmission lines, their characteristics in supplying the daily load patterns, and will address the major issues facing the transmission grid and the impact of those issues on the electric grid.
