Fort Mill, SC – February 13, 2013. The General Tire Mint 400 is a race steeped in tradition and the title of Miss Mint is a key part of the races storied history. General Tire and the Mint 400 are looking for the new 2013 Miss Mint in advance of the famed General Tire Mint 400. This year’s Miss Mint winner will be crowned on March 21, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada and will win a $5,000 cash prize along with a one year car lease courtesy of Metro Honda, national exposure, and a professional photo shoot.
“Winning the title of Miss Mint last year was a huge honor for me,” said Vanessa Golub-Ferrara, 2012 Miss Mint. “I had so many great opportunities throughout the year including the Azunia Tequila ad campaign, a photo spread in a magazine and various appearances. I’m very thankful for my time as Miss Mint and I wish all the girls good luck this year.”
This year’s contest is open to women 18-years-of-age and older who are legal residents of the fifty U.S. states and the District of Columbia (void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and U.S. territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico, and where prohibited). The contest runs from February 11 through March 8, with the 2013 Miss Mint being crowned March 21, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV.
There is a $10 fee to enter with public voting beginning February 22, 2013. Ten finalists will make it to the final competition in Las Vegas. The entrant with the most votes will automatically move into the top-10 finalists with the remaining nine spots being selected based on judging criteria outlined on the official web site. Once in Las Vegas, a panel of judges will determine the winner and the 2013 Miss Mint will be crowned.
