Fans of Flippers Pizzeria will be pleased to discover a post-holiday treat of sorts from the Florida pizzeria in 2013. In addition to an already expansive selection of fresh baked pizzas, pastas, flat breads, salads, wings, calzones, and sandwiches, customers will now be able to try more than ten new menu items from their favorite Florida pizzeria.

According to Flippers Pizzeria executives, debuting new menu items at the beginning of the year is becoming sort of a tradition. Last year around this same time, the pizzeria introduced numerous new specialty pizzas to rave reviews from fans.

In reality, for over 25 years, the menu at the Florida pizza franchise has been evolving—even menu staples. Rooted in their passion for creating the freshest, best tasting pizza, creators are continually seeking new flavor combinations and exploring new ingredient profiles in a constant quest for pizza perfection.

According to Richardson, a perfect example of this thinking is the new specialty “Arugula & Prosciutto Pizza.” It features two new ingredient profiles, arugula and prosciutto, paired with milky Mozzarella and Gorgonzola cheeses, pine nuts, olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon, and Asiago.

"When our customers taste this new pizza, their eyes literally light up,” said Richardson. “It’s a completely unique taste that’s absolutely delicious.”

The release of the new menu items follows a big year for the Orlando pizza restaurant. In 2012, Flippers Pizzeria celebrated its 25th anniversary in Central Florida and recently opened its thirteenth pizzeria location. A new mobile application was also developed. It is now available for download in the Apple iTunes store. The new app makes online ordering from iPhones, iTouches, and iPads a seamless and simple experience for customers. With these new menu items and a new location opening soon in Tampa, 2013 looks to be forming into an equally big year for the growing pizzeria.
