Bachmann Takes Tour of St. Croix River Crossing Site
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) visited the site of the new St. Croix River Crossing today to get an update on the progress of the new bridge's construction, including the potential cost savings for load and soil testing.
"This is the longest unfinished bridge project in the United States, and I am pleased to see the progress that the Minnesota Department of Transportation has made in construction. I am confident that the new bridge will provide a greater sense of security for Minnesotans and Wisconsinites alike and will encourage economic growth for the entire region."
Bachmann, a longtime advocate for a new Stillwater bridge, was the sponsor of the House version of the St. Croix River Crossing Bill, which passed with broad bipartisan support in March.
