Pastor organizes ‘whites only’ conference

Lamar County, Alabama – An Alabama pastor has organized a conference that will purportedly welcome only “white Christians” who claim they’ve been subjected to unfair treatment. As reported by The Lookout, Christian Identity Ministries is set to hold the conference, which will last three days.
Conference organizer Rev. Mel Lewis, who is also the keynote speaker for the event, is quoted in the report as stating, “We are not breaking any laws. We're not violating any ordinances. We're bringing the Word of God to people who want it, obviously, or they wouldn't be here.”
Winfield Mayor Wayne Silas reportedly stated residents and businesses are not happy about the event, which is expected to have a strong presence by the Ku Klux Klan.
Silas is quoted as stating, “Business people are upset. The city is upset. The city of Winfield does not condone this.”
