American Lung Association Names Jeffrey T. Stein to National Board of Directors



Washington, D.C. (July 2, 2012) —

The American Lung Association has named longtime American Lung Association volunteer and Avon, Conn., resident Jeffrey T. Stein, CFP to its National Board of Directors. In this role, he will help lead the Lung Association’s work to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. 
“Jeffrey Stein has been a dedicated volunteer of the Lung Association for more than a decade,” said Ross P. Lanzafame, Chair of the Board of the American Lung Association. “His expertise in the financial services industry and his passion for public health will be a terrific addition to our National Board of Directors.”
Stein has been an active volunteer with the American Lung Association of New England (now the American Lung Association of the Northeast) for the past 13 years, most recently serving as Treasurer. He has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently serves as vice president of the Peter M. Bakker Agency, an independent company offering a comprehensive range of investment and financial planning services for individuals and specializing in retirement plans for businesses.
A graduate of Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., Stein also earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1988.
