Barron’s is a registered trademark of Dow Jones & Company, L.P. All rights reserved. The rankings are based on data provided by individual advisors and their firms and include qualitative and quantitative criteria. There were a total of 1,094 applicants and data points that relate to quality of practice included professionals with a minimum of seven years financial services experience, acceptable compliance records (no criminal U4 issues), client retention reports, charitable and philanthropic work, quality of practice, designations held, offering services beyond investments offered including estates and trusts, and more.
Financial advisors are quantitatively rated based on varying types of revenues produced and assets under management by the financial professional, with weightings associated for each. Investment performance is not an explicit component because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients’ risk tolerance than by an advisor’s investment picking abilities. This ranking is based upon the period from 03/01/2023 to 03/31/2024 and was released on 07/19/2024.
The ranking may not be representative of any one client’s experience, is not an endorsement, and is not indicative of an advisor’s future performance. Neither Raymond James nor any of its financial advisors pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. Barron’s is not affiliated with Raymond James.
Before joining Raymond James in 2011, Detanna has had a noteworthy career in the financial services industry spanning more than 30 years earning several accolades for her work in Institutional Investment and Private Wealth Management. Lisa serves as a senior member of the Retirement Plan & Institutional Advisory Council (RIAC), a group of financial advisors who uphold the highest level of fiduciary and prudent care available assisting retirement plan, institutional, nonprofit, family offices, multigenerational families, and high net-worth clients with adhering to established fiduciary standards. Lisa has established herself as a knowledgeable guide by identifying the clients’ goals facilitating the often-challenging conversations around inheritance, estate planning and financial education, striving for a deeper level of harmony and clarity for her clients.
Education has been an important piece of the conversations. In support of this purpose, she co-authored a children’s book, “Treasures in the Winter Vault,” to help teach kids about money, doing the right thing and giving back. In addition, she hosts Financial Literacy events including Rock Concerts, Read Across America celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday and has created a “Money Smarts” financial literacy series providing webinars, videos, in person and interactive programs. Her sincere hope is she accomplishes her dream of helping the children in our communities to manage money, bring attention and awareness to financial literacy endeavors and their future by being good stewards of the wealth they create and inherit.
