Africa: Namibia National Day

On behalf of the United States, I congratulate the people and the Government of Namibia as you celebrate 29 years of independence on March 21.

The United States enjoys a strong partnership with Namibia as we seek to expand bilateral trade opportunities and achieve HIV/AIDS epidemic control. We recognize Namibia’s leadership in 2019 of the Southern African Development Community and look forward to your hosting of the Women, Peace, and Security Focal Points Network Meeting.
