Portuguese President arrives in Benguela
Rebelo de Sousa received welcome greetings from the provincial governor, Rui Falcão, other members of the local government and officials of the Portuguese Consulate.
According to the official agenda, during his stay in Benguela, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will meet with Rui Falcão, and will chair the closing session of the Business Forum Angola / Portugal, on Thursday, in the governor's palace provincial government of Benguela, leaving for the port city of Lobito.
In Lobito, where he is expected to spend the night, the Portuguese statesman will also visit the frigate Álvares Cabral, of the Portuguese Navy, at the local port, and has scheduled a meeting with the Portuguese community living in the province of Benguela.
On Friday, the Portuguese President's agenda foresees a visit to Lobito Port, as well as to the facilities of the Benguela Railway, from where he continues by train to the municipality of Catumbela.
Afterwards, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will travel by car to the city of Benguela, and will be rewarded with an official lunch by the provincial governor, with the participation of members of his delegation, government entities, members of the Portuguese community and other guests.
The Portuguese Head of State and his entourage will return to Luanda at mid-afternoon Friday.
