GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, ANGI Homeservices (NASDAQ: ANGI) announced its Board of Directors appointed Brandon Ridenour, Chief Product Officer, as its next CEO to succeed Chris Terrill. Mr. Terrill will remain in the CEO role during a transition period that will be complete by the end of the year, at which time Mr. Terrill will step down as CEO and from the ANGI Homeservices Board of Directors and continue on with the company in an advisor capacity. Following the transition period, Mr. Ridenour will join the ANGI Homeservices Board of Directors along with Craig Smith, ANGI Homeservices’ President and Chief Operating Officer.
Joey Levin, CEO of IAC and ANGI Homeservices’ Chairman said, “Chris led what is now ANGI Homeservices from a little seed within IAC, to a multi-billion-dollar public company at the top of its category, with unbounded potential yet ahead. But perhaps his greatest accomplishment is the depth in the leadership team he built, such that, as he departs, the business can seamlessly continue executing against the massive opportunity remaining in home services. Thank you, Chris.”
Mr. Levin continued, “Today’s leadership change is part of a succession plan that’s been a long time in the making, and Brandon’s track record makes clear why he is the Board’s obvious pick. Brandon knows this business inside and out and has the depth of experience, ambition and vision required to drive the next phase of innovation and expansion in this category. Alongside President and COO Craig Smith, whose leadership has been instrumental in getting ANGI Homeservices to where it is today, we have a team that knows how to win.”
Said Mr. Terrill, “The past seven and a half years as CEO of HomeAdvisor, and more recently ANGI Homeservices, have been an extreme honor and an incredible journey. We’ve just marked the one year anniversary of the formation of ANGI Homeservices, and the business is seeing strong performance on all key metrics – from revenue and cost savings to integration and product innovation – making this the right time for me to hand over the reins and move on to the next stage of my life. For over 10 years Brandon and I have worked together and, from the earliest days of HomeAdvisor, he has always been my co-pilot, guiding product and technology strategy, and shaping key business decisions. There is no one more prepared or better equipped than Brandon to lead ANGI Homeservices’ next phase of growth.”
Said Mr. Ridenour, “I’m humbled to step into the CEO position at such a pivotal moment for the company. Chris is a remarkable and empowering leader and a trusted mentor and friend. I’m proud to have worked with and learned from him over many years. Our partnership has been invaluable to me personally as well as to ANGI Homeservices’ success. Looking ahead, we have so much untapped opportunity in this category and we’re just getting started.”
