Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition Symposium set for October 2-3 in Canton, event will highlight vast potential for growth
Studies show hydrogen fuel cell-related industries could create 180,000 new jobs by 2020, 65,000 in Midwest
ELYRIA, OHIO, UNITED STATES, September 25, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition (OFCC), in conjunction with Stark State College, will conduct the 2018 Ohio Fuel Cell Symposium, “Create Success: through Vision-Connections-Opportunities” on October 2 and 3 at the Business and Entrepreneurial Center at Stark State College, North Canton, OH. The Center is located at 6200 Frank Avenue NWNorth Canton, Ohio 44720.
The symposium is being held as interest in hydrogen fuel cell technology is growing rapidly in the U.S. and abroad. Spurred by the clear advantages hydrogen offers over other renewable and non-renewable energy sources, governments, transit authorities, vehicle manufacturers, and a wide range of companies in the power generation and supply sector are investing in the development and deployment of fuel cells. A number of studies indicate widespread acceptance of fuel cell technology may create 180,000 new jobs in the U.S. by 2020 and up to 675,000 new positions by 2035. Ohio and the Midwest, already home to a number of leading companies in the fuel cell supply chain, could see employment in the industry increase by 65,000 jobs in the next 15 years.
Symposium attendees will have the opportunity to gather information from and interact with fuel cell industry experts from the academic, public, and private sectors. The Symposium begins Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at 2:30 P.M with an invitation-only Supply Chain Exchange then continues with the Exhibitors Showcase and Networking Reception for all Symposium attendees from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
