ALEXA’S BOTANICALS INTRODUCES TWO NEW HAND-ROASTED, CBD-INFUSED COFFEES
Coffees Contain 1.25 Mg or 5 Mg of CBD Per Cup
GLENDALE, COLORADO, USA, September 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Alexa’s Botanicals, creator of a growing family of phytoCannaBinoiD™ centric products, today announced the addition of two full-spectrum hemp oil infused coffees to its product line; “Gabriela”, which provides 1.25 mg of CBD per cup and “Paolo” which delivers 5 mg of CBD per cup.
These, along with all of Alexa’s Botanicals products, are available at the Company’s website, www.alexasbotanicals.com1.
Responsibly sourced from select farms, Alexa's expert roasters secure only specialty-grade Columbian Arabica beans, which they hand-roast to draw out the flavor notes of each bean. Once the perfect balance of acidity, body, and flavor are achieved, the beans are infused with organically derived, full-spectrum, CBD-rich hemp oil. The result is a delicious cup of coffee that delivers a consistent dose of CBD with every cup, providing customers with the full array of cannabinoids, essential vitamins and minerals, fatty acids, protein, chlorophyll, fiber, flavonoids, and terpenes found in the hemp plant.
Alexa’s Botanicals whole-bean coffee is sold in 8-ounce packages, providing 16 servings based on the recommended 1/2 ounce of beans per brewed cup. Customers can choose between two strengths; Paolo, with 80 mg of CBD per bag, 5 mg per serving, and Gabriela, with 1.25 mg of CBD per package, 1.25 mg per serving.
About CBD and the Endocannabinoid System
Cannabinioid receptors are found in almost every organ of the body, including the skin, digestive tract, and reproductive organs, with heavy concentrations in the central nervous system. Cumulatively these receptors are referred to as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Although researchers are just beginning to understand the functionality of the ECS, it appears to have some influence in a number of bodily functions, including: mood, memory, motor control, immune function, reproduction, pain perception, appetite, sleep and bone development.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most prevalent chemical compounds found throughout the cannabis plant. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is not psychoactive, but it is increasingly believed to provide significant health benefits and therapeutic effect. Industrial hemp is a variety of the cannabis plant which, by definition, comprises less than 0.3% THC, making it a particularly rich source of CBD.
Because the cannabinoids secreted by the cannabis flower mimic those produced in the body, they are able to communicate with and activate endocannabinoid receptors to cause a response within the body. Preclinical trials have been and/or are currently being conducted with regard to its impact as an: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotectant, anxiolytic, antidepressant, analgesic, anti-tumoral agent and an anti-psychotic.
