ISO to Livestream 2016 Stakeholder Symposium Speakers and Panels
/EINPresswire.com/ -- The California Independent System Operator (ISO) will livestream via the web keynote addresses and panel discussions from its 2016 Stakeholder Symposium on September 7 and 8.
The annual event, held at the Sacramento Convention Center, will bring together nearly 1,000 executives and innovators to share ideas, solutions and visions for the greener, more efficient grid of the future.
This year, the speakers and panelists will explore the effort to create a consolidated western United States power grid. A regional power market is expected to save consumers billions of dollars annually on electricity, improve grid coordination and increase the amount of renewable energy in the system.
Keynote speakers include Tom Steyer, founder and president of NextGen Climate; NRG President and CEO Mauricio Gutierrez; Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Norman Bay; and California Public Utilities Commission President Michael Picker.
Panelists include utility executives, regulators, environmental advocates, business leaders, and energy experts from throughout California and the western states.
