IT Governance to present at the next Cambridge Cyber Security Cluster meeting
ELY, ENGLAND, October 15, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- IT Governance1, the fast-growing cyber security consultancy and solutions provider, will be participating as a speaker at the first Cambridge Cluster ‘reboot’ meeting on 21 October 2015.
The Cambridge Cyber Security Cluster is an affiliate of the UK Cyber Security Forum, a UK government and industry-led partnership that aims to develop skills and infrastructure to combat cyber security threats.
Geraint Williams, Head of Technical Services at IT Governance and Qualified Security Assessor for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), will be presenting the latest developments for PCI DSS v3.1 and what it means to business.
Other speakers include Nicky Whiting, innovation advisor for Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), who will talk to the cluster about how EEN can help SMEs in the East, while Kevan Reade, international trade adviser at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) East, will talk about how UKTI can help members.
The event is aimed at collaboration, networking and discussion, and SME organisations in the Cambridgeshire region are encouraged to participate to shape the forum’s activities.
Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, says: “The Cambridge region is a commercially significant area for the UK economy. The region boasts an abundance of highly successful multimillion-pound businesses, in addition to hundreds of successful SMEs. As cyber risks continue to evolve and pose greater risks to organisations, leaders should embrace cyber security as a business requirement critical for sustained future success. Consequently, IT Governance welcomes the re-establishment of the Cluster in facilitating enhanced awareness about cyber security threats and the corresponding mitigating actions and solutions.”
Membership of the Cambridge Cyber Security Cluster is free of charge, and all members are invited to regular meetings to take part in networking and discussion. To become a member, please contact cams@ukcybersecurityforum.com.
