God Bless the Child is a bold new feature from the writing/directing team of Robert Machoian and Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck. Mixing a cinema verite style with rigorous filmmaking skills (even though the film feels improvised and natural, the scenes are scripted and meticulously directed), God Bless the Child provides an intimate look at the lives of five siblings who are left to their own devices. The pacing of the storytelling mimics the languid days of a summer in childhood, unfolding patiently through moments of domesticity, playfulness, tenderness, anger, and frustration. The film stars five relatively unknown actors, the siblings Harper, Elias, Arri, Ezra and Jonah Graham. The film is directed by Robert Machoian and Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck and written by Robert Machoian and Rebecca Graham. The film is produced by Laura Heberton and Robert John Thomas. SXSW2
