Consensus Gentium challenges the boundaries of storytelling by centering the participant in narratives that explore AI bias, surveillance, and automated inequality. Created by award-winning director Karen Palmer, dubbed the "Storyteller from the Future," the app seeks to democratize technology and art, raising awareness about the ethical challenges AI presents, particularly for marginalized communities. Premiering at SXSW 2023, where it won the XR Award, Consensus Gentium has since captivated audiences through international installations and exhibitions. The project has been featured in a 10-city UK tour and has garnered additional recognition at Kaohsiung Festival and ARS Electronica. It continues to expand globally through interactive installations and keynote presentations, fostering critical conversations on AI’s societal impact.
