Aliro Celebrates 2025 World Quantum Day With Continued Momentum for Quantum-Powered Security
Aliro announced that it is celebrating World Quantum Day and 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics by acknowledging the company’s achievements over the past twelve months. As the validation of entanglement-based quantum networks for use cases like quantum secure communications and networking of quantum computers (among others) accelerates, Aliro expanded its leadership team and announced new customers and solution offerings.
In February, Aliro announced the first live deployment of the AliroNet Quickstart network. Quickstart, initially launched in October 2024, is a bundled product ideal for organizations deploying, piloting, trialing, and researching entanglement-based quantum networks. The multipurpose network, deployed at Aliro headquarters, was designed and built to support a variety of applications such as quantum secure communications, networking of quantum processor units, interconnectivity of quantum sensors, and future qubit-based applications.
The company also announced an agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to provide software and professional services enabling AFRL to simulate, test, and operate entanglement-based quantum network infrastructure, including evaluating Aliro’s unified intuitive software application capabilities in a test environment of AFRL quantum networks.
Bolstered by sales and product successes, Aliro expanded its leadership team to include new Head of Commercial Sales, Dan Hefle. The company’s successes have not gone unnoticed. AliroNet® was named a Gold winner in the 21st Annual 2025 Globee Awards for Cybersecurity, and has been shortlisted in the 2025 Cloud Security Awards program in the category Best Network Security Solution.
Today, Aliro also launched the publicly available Aliro research and patents page covering innovations that Aliro scientists, engineers, and physicists are advancing in the field of quantum networking through collaborative research in quantum entanglement, secure communications, and distributed quantum computing. These include fundamental breakthroughs in entangled photon generation to operational frameworks for secure quantum networks.
“Since our founding in 2019, Aliro has focused on developing the foundational technologies needed for quantum networks, and over the past six years, we’ve seen incredible growth and understanding in how accessible and valuable quantum networks can be,” said Michael Wood, CMO of Aliro. “AliroNet Quickstart is a significant advancement driving progress in commercial applications of quantum networks, and lays the groundwork for large-scale implementations by enterprises, government organizations, and telecommunications companies. We believe that we have the right solutions, the right people, and the right partners to continue this work.”
