The New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NY) last night announced the winners of the 2021 Big Apple Awards, a prestigious, annual awards program honoring outstanding PR campaigns and projects developed or implemented across the United States. The winners were announced at an awards gala held at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan on September 28, 2021.

Honored at the event were the Big Apple Award winners and Honorable Mention recipients, the 15 Under 35 Award Winners, and the PRSA-NY Chapter’s Individual Award recipients including the PRSA-NY Excellence in Mentoring Award, the John W. Hill Award and the PRSA-NY President’s Award which is named by the Chapter’s President.

The 2021 Big Apple Awards marks a return to an in-person event, following the virtual-four day experience for the 2020 Big Apple Awards. Last night’s event was hosted by Kendis Gibson, MSNBC Morning News Anchor and Loreal Torres, Chief People Officer at Vested, who announced the award categories throughout the evening.

This year, 115 entries were evaluated by diverse teams of senior-level communications practitioners representing a broad range of disciplines and expertise. More than 75 judges reviewed and scored the entries using an online portal and then convened on Zoom for roundtable deliberations to ultimately determine the winners.
