China In-Focus: China Wind Systems Receives $14 Million Contract
July 31, 2009 (FinancialWire) — China Wind Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: CWSI), a supplier of forged products and industrial equipment to the wind power and other industries in China, said it has signed a $14 million contract to supply wind tower flanges to Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd.
The agreement with Chengxi calls for China Wind to deliver wind tower flanges from September 2009 to June 2010 in the amount of 800 to 1,200 tons per month. General Electric (NYSE: GE), one of Chengxi’s largest wind customers, will be the end customer for the wind tower flanges.
Some of Chengxi’s other wind customers include Vestas, Mitsubishi, and Mitsui.
Wuxi, China-based China Wind Systems supplies forged rolled rings to the wind power and other industries and industrial equipment to the textile and energy industries in China.
