July 14, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Maurice Carson has joined Actel Corp. (NASDAQ: ACTL) as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective August 17.

Carson previously served a six-year tenure as vice president and CFO of Kulicke & Soffa, a firm engaged in the design and manufacture of semiconductor assembly equipment. Prior to that, he served as vice president of finance and corporate controller for Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE: CY).

He has also held various financial positions at Ephigraphx, Kraft Foodservice and Motorola.

Mountain View, California-based Actel offers system and power management solutions including low-power FPGAs and mixed-signal FPGAs.
