It is given in a 1:1 ratio, so if you receive two doses of anesthetic, you will need two doses of Oraverse. Currently, OraVerse is not covered by dental insurance, and would be considered an out of pocket service. Please discuss the fees with your dental provider, and we will offer a sliding fee scale for patients requiring multiple doses. Sometimes, long acting local anesthetics are given following more involved surgical procedures, to allow for pain control after surgery, and this would not be an indicated use in those circumstances.
