The GDPR classroom course is a comprehensive introduction to the GDPR, conveying a practical understanding of the implications and legal requirements for businesses. The GDPR marks the most important change in data privacy regulation in the 21st century: replacing the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC, it promises to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, protecting and extending the data rights of EU individuals. After this date, US organizations found in breach of the GDPR may face fines of up to 4% of annual global turnover or €20 million (about $21 million) – whichever is greater – and suffer reputational damage.
