Traffic to ConnectedHealth's Shopping Platform Increases 250 Percent in First Half of 2016 Open Enrollment

Private Exchange's Benefits Marketplace Experiences Substantial Increase in Volume Compared to 2015 Season

/EINPresswire.com/ -- CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - December 18, 2015) - ConnectedHealth, a leading private insurance exchange with a mission to help employees and individuals achieve better health and financial security, today announces results from the first half of the open enrollment period. Traffic to the company's award-winning Smart Choices™ Marketplace benefits shopping platform increased by 250 percent compared to the first half of the 2015 season.

"The vast increase in consumer traffic and applications on our platform in the first 45 days of open enrollment helps paint a broader picture for how far the private exchange industry as a whole has come in the last year," said ConnectedHealth President Joe Donlan. "What's more, employees and individuals are embracing ConnectedHealth's personalized decision-making and financial wellness tools in order to make smart choices about their health coverage. We're thrilled to see this surge in consumers taking thoughtful action when it comes to their health and financial security."

ConnectedHealth has seen additional strong results in the first half of open enrollment season, which include:

  • 41 percent increase in the number of consumers shopping for benefits in the first 45 days of open enrollment compared to the whole open enrollment period last year.
  • 35 percent increase in the number of health plan applications started compared to the whole open enrollment period last year.
  • 34 percent of consumers who took ConnectedHealth's online assessment My Thrive Score™, which offers a personalized "credit score" for an individual's health and financial security, later visited the ConnectedHealth platform to shop for benefits. This suggests that engagement tools are effective in encouraging people to take action in improving their assessments.
  • On a scale of 1 to 10, 86 percent of respondents rated ConnectedHealth an 8 or higher, suggesting that more than 8 out of 10 consumers would recommend ConnectedHealth's platform to a family member or friend.
