The conference will host senior members from the Egyptian and Tunisian ministries of transportation as well as the heads of other regional transportation authorities such as Casa Transport in Morocco and Metro D’Algers from Algeria, will address the most pressing challenges facing the industry including safety, operations and maintenance as well as the investment and finance of future mega projects.

The event will look at improving the efficiencies of the transportation networks by implementing a maintenance strategy as well as improving safety and reducing accidents by investing in the modernisation of signaling systems and developing a truly multimodal transport ecosystem.
The conference will also feature a Focus Day on road safety that is being spearheaded by Pepsico who have been very active in addressing this issue in Egypt. They launched a nationwide competition encourage private sector adherence to road safety in Egypt. The winners of the competition will be announced at the event on the 7 December.
In addition there will be a strong focus on the future projects that are being planned in the region with particular emphasis on the investment and finance of these projects at the Finance Focus Day. “There are a lot of opportunities for the banking and investment firms, particularly in Egypt, to get involved in some of the future mega transportation projects.
