I have an intense desire to be of assistance to those who have been abused. My prayer is always to let those I can serve find me.

AMERICAN FORK, UTAH, USA, August 11, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Healing is not curing. Healing is getting in touch with who you are on the inside. It’s a journey and it’s an ongoing process. But once we can remove the interference and imbalance, the body should heal itself.

Janice Weinheimer is an energy practitioner and the founder of Healing Wounded Souls, where she works with individuals who have suffered deep emotional trauma to restore and reclaim their physical health.

Janice first began studying energy 30 years ago after suffering from a serious illness. For five months she had no equilibrium and prayed every day for her torture to end. She visited every specialist and took every test, but no one could find anything medically wrong with her.

“After two months, I decided God wasn’t going to let me die so I surrendered,” recalls Janice. “I came to realize that I had built a persona I’d thought was acceptable but I wasn’t that person. I had to break down all my beliefs and start rebuilding my life.”

This profound experience served as the inspiration for Janice’s book The Illness that Healed Me: An Account of Surviving Sexual Abuse and the Journey into Healing, a remarkable story of the power of self to face the past. The book recounts how she confronted decades of depression rooted in her childhood of abuse.

“I have an intense desire to be of assistance to those who have been abused. That is the major purpose of my book,” says Janice. “I know what it’s like for people to go through trauma. I guess that’s why my prayer to God is always to let those I can serve find me.”

And almost everyone who finds her has suffered trauma or been abused. According to Janice, the beliefs we develop about ourselves in response to trauma can literally change our DNA. Janice works with her clients using the Emotion Code and Body Code. She says she believes energy medicine is the future of medicine because you can use it yourself. You don’t need surgery or medication with side effects.

“Nothing helped me. I had to go in the direction of energy medicine to find something that would help me and that’s where I found the path to healing,” says Janice. “My desire is that no one has to go through what I went through because there is help. There are so many energy medicine modalities out there and they all have different approaches. I’ve learned many of them but I use the ones that resonate with me. Emotion Code and Body Code resonated with me so that’s how I can serve others to enhance the world.”
