Instructor Team of 16 National and International Product Safety Leaders and Regulators Will Share Insights With Working Professionals
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, USA, June 8, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A new risk assessment on-line tool, an analysis of chemical regulations domestically and internationally, how government regulators work with companies, how international regulators are collaborating with each other are just some of the topics awaiting product safety professionals attending a course in product safety management at Saint Louis University this fall.The 2015 Advance Product Safety Management certificate course will take place on campus at the university’s John Cook School of Business’ Center for Supply Chain Management Studies during the week of September 28 – October 2.
The program will feature 16 national and internationally known product safety leaders and regulators who will be sharing their insight into issues and trends that affect companies with regulatory requirements governing consumer products globally.
Among instructors for the course are: Attorney Cheryl Falvey, Crowell & Moring, and former General Counsel at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission; Gene Rider, risk assessment authority and recipient of the 2011 CPSC Chairman’s Commendation Award for contributions to children’s safety; Paul Frantz of Applied Safety & Ergonomics, an authority on human factors in product safety; Kitty Pilarz, Vice President of Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance at Mattel Inc./Fisher-Price; and Bruce Farquhar, an international consultant working with regulators in the EU and other countries as well as with international groups of regulators. Former CPSC Commissioner David Pittle will be featured at the course graduation.
Individuals from industry and retailing who hold product safety positions including engineering, quality, compliance, product integrity, and operations are encouraged to consider this program.
