David is a father of three boys first and a contractor second. He is also a huge fan of plush slippers. The Sing-Along-Slippers project is dedicated to David’s son Tristan. Tristan is the inspiration for this child-friendly product. In other words this is a passion project geared towards children from a professional who has extensive parenting experience. The result of this experience is a series of ideas which has sparked an innovation. One day David came up with the idea to take this comfortable, and fun to wear, article of clothing and make it enjoyable for children to play with. This has been done by enabling children to listen to songs or play music using their slippers. The Sing-Along-Slippers story starts with a prince and a princess who once upon a time who cried out for slippers on their feet and a song in their heart. They longed to wear these slippers, dance, play and sing along to their favorite music. Now children everywhere can do just that.


These slippers are a truly unique childrenswear product as they are the world’s first interactive plush slippers for children. These slippers have three main features. First there is a toy puppet which can be attached or detached at any time from each slipper using a Velcro connection. This makes these characters double as playable toys. Second there is a song module within the toy puppet itself. This module plays three pre-recorded songs. Users can simply detach the puppet, press the button, listen to the songs and sing along with their fun musical puppet. David is working with Gann Memorials and Twinsisters Music Company to ensure a high quality level of audio. There is also an LED light on both the prince and princess toys. This light will illuminate the crown jewels on both figures. In this way Sing-Along-Slippers is the culmination of several great ideas. The boy’s figures come in red, green and royal blue and the girl’s figures come in pink, yellow and purple.

Sing-Along-Slippers has the potential to give children comfort, warmth and hours of fun playtime. At this time manufacturing is vital to the success of this venture. Sing-Along-Slippers is currently under patent pending status and there is one sample prototype. This project needs to get to the point where there are four upgraded pairs of prototypes which will represent two separate colors of both boys and girls sets. There needs to be a minimum order of 250 slippers per pair in order to justify manufacturing Sing-Along-Slippers and bring joy to children all over the world. From there the full line consisting of all six colors will be put into production.


Parents can pre-order slippers today in any size for their children. In order to support this launch there is a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in place. This campaign will proceed until March 21st. There are multiple crowdfunding rewards associated with Sing-Along-Slippers. Those who make a funding pledge of 20 dollars will receive their very own Sing-Along-Slippers for either a boy or girl in the color of their choice. Funders will also be able to see their name listed as a contributor on the Sing-Along-Slippers website. Two pairs of slippers are being made available for 50 dollars. As a very special promotion the first 100 backers will receive a name of their choice embroidered on their Sing-Along-Slippers.
