ATR in Asia:
ATR is well established in Asia and the Pacific, where some 50 operators in 24 countries fly more than 270 of its aircraft. ATR aircraft, and in particular the ATR '-600' models, the latest additions to the family, are the first choice of airlines in Asia-Pacific operating a network of short-haul flights. More than 330 ATR aircraft have been sold in the region since 2005, accounting for more than two thirds of all orders for regional aircraft with fewer than 90 seats in the world. On the back of its strong growth in the region, where the number of ATR aircraft in operation has doubled in recent years, the company has also significantly developed its support offering. Today, ATR operates a Customer Support Center, a Pilot Training Center and a Spare Parts Depot in Singapore. And in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, ATR also runs Spare Parts Depots in Kuala Lumpur and Auckland, a Customer Support Center in Bangalore and a branch office in Brisbane.
About ATR:
Founded in 1981, ATR has become the world leader on the market for regional aircraft with 90 seats or less. Since its creation, ATR has sold over 1300 aircraft. ATR is an equal partnership between two major European aeronautics players, the Airbus Group and Alenia Aermacchi (a Finmeccanica Group company). Its head office is in Toulouse. ATR is ISO 14001 certified.
